itch.io is a simple way to find, download and distribute indie games online. Whether you're a developer looking to upload your game or just someone looking for something new to play itch.io has you covered.
itch.io is an open marketplace where independent developers sell and distribute games, tools, comics, soundtracks, and other creative work. Anyone can create a seller account and publish projects, often setting their own prices or offering pay-what-you-want options.
The platform is well known for hosting game jams, which are timed community events where developers build games around a theme. It has a strong focus on experimental and small-scale projects that might not fit larger storefronts. itch.io also runs occasional charity bundles that have raised millions of dollars for various causes.
